Terms of use
Last updated 8 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and OVEROOM when you use the OVEROOM app, the room viewer at viewer.overoom.com and this website. By using OVEROOM you agree to them. Please also read the Privacy policy and the Child safety standards.
Who can use OVEROOM
You must be at least 13, or older if the law in your country sets a higher age for using services like this one. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should agree to these terms with you. You are responsible for what happens in your account, so keep your sign-in codes to yourself.
Your rooms and content
Your rooms, notes, recordings, escape rooms, items and messages stay yours. So that OVEROOM can work, you give us permission to store, process, copy and show them to the people you allow, in the ways the app offers, for as long as they are in OVEROOM. This permission ends when you delete them, except for copies other people already received in messages or that we must keep by law.
You must have the right to everything you upload. Don't upload other people's work, such as music or images, unless you are allowed to.
Scanning rules
- Only scan places you live in or are allowed to scan.
- Ask people before scanning them, and leave them out of the scan if they say no.
- Don't scan bathrooms or changing rooms with people in them, and don't scan anything that would show someone else's private information, like documents or screens.
- If a room is shared with others, decide together who may see it.
Your avatar and voice
- Make an avatar only from your own face, and record only your own voice. Never use them to pretend to be someone else.
- While you are out, your avatar talks with visitors using AI. It is always shown as your stand-in. It can make mistakes, and what it says is not a promise from you or from us. If you don't want it to agree to plans for you, leave that switched off in its settings.
- You are responsible for the manners and limits you give your avatar.
How to behave
Don't use OVEROOM to:
- harm, sexualize or exploit children in any way (see Child safety);
- harass, bully, threaten or stalk anyone, or share sexual content of anyone without consent;
- post hate against people for who they are, or praise violence;
- post sexual or graphic content in places others can see;
- pretend to be someone else, or mislead people about who they are talking to;
- spam, scam, sell real-world goods or services, or trade OVERCOIN for money;
- break the law, or help others do so;
- hack, overload, copy at scale or get around OVEROOM's limits and protections, including with bots.
Reports and removal
Anyone can report a room, a note, a message, a person, an item or what an avatar said, using Report in the app. We review reports and may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with or without warning, depending on how serious it is. If you think we got it wrong, write to support@overoom.com.
OVERCOIN and items
OVERCOIN and OVERBUILDER items exist only inside OVEROOM. They have no money value, can't be bought or sold for money, and can't be cashed out. We may change how they work, and they end when your account ends.
The service and its limits
OVEROOM is free today. To keep it running for everyone there are fair limits, for example on scans and builds per day and on how long a room's avatar can talk each day; the app tells you when you reach one. We may add paid plans later; if we do, their price and terms will be shown before you buy anything.
We keep improving OVEROOM, so features may change, and we may stop parts of it. If we close OVEROOM we will tell you in advance where we can, so you can save what you want. You can stop using OVEROOM and delete your account at any time.
Responsibility
We work hard to keep OVEROOM running and safe, but it is provided as it is, without guarantees that it will always work, be free of faults or keep every file. Keep your own copies of anything important. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, for what other people do or say in OVEROOM, or for what an avatar says, and our total responsibility to you is limited to 100 US dollars. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
Law, changes and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Israel, and the courts of Tel Aviv have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts. If we change these terms we will update the date at the top and tell you in the app before an important change takes effect; using OVEROOM after that means you accept the new terms.
